Seven years at Converge, a CPA who moved from the accounting side into systems work and now runs Converge's Procore implementations out of Houston.
Stevie grew up in Baton Rouge and came to Converge out of LSU with a degree in accounting and finance. She started on the accounting side of the business and earned her CPA while she was there, then moved into systems work about four years ago when she relocated to Houston. She works remotely from The Woodlands now, building out Converge's presence in Texas, and she is the one on the team who handles Procore implementations while most of the group stays Vista-heavy.
The work Stevie points to first is a pair of Vista implementations in California for a company rolling acquired operating companies onto one system. It was just her and Marcel on both, which put Marcel back in a hands-on consultant seat, and it meant a lot of hours on planes and weekends spent prepping the next on-site session. She calls it the biggest stretch of her career. What keeps her here is a team small enough to feel like family, and the fact that everyone came out of accounting or construction before they came to software, so what a client hears is the option that actually fits them. Outside of work Stevie lifts, takes barre classes, and spends her weekends at live shows, on the beach, or up in Austin.
